Franchise Opportunities

While owners vary in age and experience, the fastest growing segments include women and minorities. Women own almost 10 million home-based businesses.

The home has been called by some as "the new American workplace." If the unprecedented growth continues as expected, most Americans will work at home in the 21st Century.

"The way we work is changing--we are in the middle of a tremendous workforce pattern change. Since the early 1980s, there has been a resurgence in entrepreneurial spirit. The 'new entrepreneurism' is different from the past--this time we are working from home."

Q. Can I begin my business from home?
A. Absolutely. In fact, our kits were created with the home- businessperson in mind. We realize that more and more people want to be independent business owners and prefer to start small before leasing a storefront. Starting from home gives you the opportunity to try the candy bouquet business without the large overhead costs associated with a physical store and employees. However, our Sweet Florals products can also fill a show room or make a nice addition to an existing business, whether it’s a gift shop, restaurant, flower shop, etc. Sweet Florals can be as small or as large of a business as you want to make it.

Q. Can I finance the initial costs?
A. Sweet Florals is not providing financing at the moment. However, we believe we have made three compelling packages at various investment levels to fit your financial budget. When you compare our program to similar alternatives you will find that our initial costs are dramatically lower and we don’t bind you to multi-year contracts. However, contact your local bank or local Small Business Association office as they may have financing programs available for small business like yours.

Q. What do the initial fees cover?
A. Sweet Florals has extensive experience in the candy bouquet business. Experience and knowledge is a valuable asset and we’re now offering our knowledge base in our easy-to-follow starter kits. Your initial investment not only buys the Sweet Florals’ intellectual property, but you also get all the supplies and materials necessary to begin building candy bouquets immediately. As you continue reading you will see why your investment is well worth it.

Q. What is the length of my online membership in the Sweet Florals Distributorship Program?
A. The minimum length of your online membership is one year. You will continue to be a member so long as you continue to order additional supplies and services from our affiliates and suppliers. During your first year, if you have not had any order activity, we will assume you are no longer interested in being a part of our program. Your online member password will be deactivated and Sweet Florals will discontinue sending you updates and special offers. However, the business you established through the help of Sweet Florals is yours to keep including all the initial supplies and website.

Q. What is the shelf life of the candy bouquets?
A. The shelf life of a candy bouquet depends on the candy and how it is cared for. A chocolate candy bouquet can have a shelf life of three months as long as the candy is kept in a room temperatures cool enough to keep the chocolate from melting. Hard candy can have a shelf life for as long as six months. However, in both cases you want to keep your bouquets away from the sun as they will moisten the candy and fade the color of your ribbon and trimmings.

Q.

Does Sweet Florals offer technical help if I get the website?

A. Yes. If you decide to buy a complete e-commerce enabled website from Sweet Florals and have technical questions or problems, simply email us your complaint and we will offer a solution either through email if it’s simple or over the phone help for more complex problems.

Q. Can I buy the candy already on the stems?
A. Yes. We understand this process can be a bit time consuming. Therefore, we give you the option to order our “pre-stemmed” candy to make the bouquet building process just a little bit easier. Pre-stemmed candy can be purchased from the Sweet Florals depending on availability..

Q. How do I become part of the Sweet Florals Distributorship Program?
A.

You can begin by filling out the attached application, select your desired package, and send your completed form, along with your payment either via mail, email or fax. We accept, personal checks, credit cards and money orders. Your complete Sweet Florals package will arrive within 2-4 weeks.

Q. What does it cost me to build each bouquet?
A. If you buy wholesale from our suppliers, your costs should remain under $10.00 per bouquet with a profit potential up to 300%.

Q. Do I have to keep reordering from you?
A. No. While we provide you with a list of our licensed wholesale suppliers, it is up to you - what you order and how much you order. There are no minimums which gives you the freedom to grow and purchase supplies at a pace that's comfortable for your business.

Q. Do I have to use the Sweet Florals name and logo?
A. No. You will have to select a name that best suits your business. Afterall, it is your company which is the beauty of it all and saves you a tremendous amount of money. Because we are not a franchise that charges ridiculous fees, we do not license the use of our logo and name.

Q. Do I get a territory?
A. Sweet Florals does not assign territories. We believe that your ability to sell your candy bouquets is a function of how well you are able to market and spread the word about your bouquets throughout the markets you define as a target market. Limiting you to a territory we, believe, limits your potential for market growth.

Q. What is the profit I make on each bouquet?
A. It depends on how much you charge. We recommend a 175% uplift on costs of goods and services. In other words, if it costs $10.00 to build in materials, charge $25.00-$30.00 or more. It's up to you.

Q. Can I order the brochures later?
A. Yes, our brochures are available for you
to order any time.

Q. Can I make my own designs or do I have to stick to the ones you make?
A. As you master the candy bouquet making process you will see how easy it is to
add your own personal touch of creativity to your candy bouquets. You don't
have to stick to our styles. In fact, we encourage you to be creative and
try your own themes that appeal most to your customer base.
